Opening: Junior Energy Market Analyst (m/f)

 

JBC Energy is seeking Junior Energy Market Analysts (m/f) for its Research Team at its office in central Vienna.
Successful candidates will have a strong interest in international energy markets, sound analytical backgrounds, and enjoy writing/editing reports and articles.

 
Tasks include:

  • Researching and analysing international energy markets with a focus on crude oil and refined product markets
  • Writing articles and studies on the latest energy market developments on a regular basis
  • Updating, developing, and analysing databases and charts

 
You:

  • Have a strong interest in oil, gas, and alternative energy markets as well as broader economic and political developments
  • Are fluent in English (preference for native speaker; German, Arabic, Mandarin or Russian are additional assets)
  • Have solid analytical skills and a natural interest in numbers
  • Have a high level of computer proficiency and demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
  • Have a bachelor degree or higher
  • Have ideally some work experience
  • Hold a valid Austrian work permit

Aufgabengebiet – Softwareentwickler/in SQL/Web Developer

  • Verantwortung für Weiterentwicklung u. Optimierungen der Datenbanken
  • Erstellen komplexer Abfragen u. Auswertungen
  • Automatisierung von Daten uploads / downloads (Querys, Stored Procedures, etc.)
  • Komplexe Datenbank-Programmierung
  • Weiterentwicklung von Add-Ins im MS-Office Bereich (VBA)
  • Entwicklung von Intranet Seiten mit SQL Anbindung

Ihre Qualifikationen

  • Erfahrung mit Microsoft SQL Server (2008) / SQL Programmierung
  • Fundiertes Know-how im Bereich relationaler Datenbanken
  • Erfahrung mit Visual Studio ASP.net / CSS / JavaScript

Opening: Junior Data Scientist/Developer (m/f) – Part Time

JBC Energy has an interesting career opportunity at its Vienna office for a Junior Data Scientist. We are looking for a student from a technical school (Finance, Energy, Informatics), who can help us forming and structuring steadily growing amounts of energy related data.

Ideally, you are talented in or looking forward to a profession as Developer and Big Data Specialist.

 

What your work will be

  • Structure high amounts of data in a helpful way
  • Maintain/develop web-tools (Selenium/Python)
  • Maintain/develop database import processes
  • Perform and optimize complex calculations with MS-SQL
  • Maintain/develop Excel tools with complex formulas and VBA
  • Present data in Excel and on websites

You have first experience with as well as skills/interest in

  • Complex SQL queries, procedures or functions
  • Database and data warehouse design
  • Excel, VBA
  • General data management
  • A programming language (i.e. Python, VB, Ruby, Matlab)
  • Regular Expressions
  • You should have good communication skills in German and English

This position is part-time (20-30 hours per week) – working hours can be arranged flexible.
